Description:

its shape a symbol of the infinite, but nowhere does it have such
strong meaning as in China, where the number 8 is associated with good
fortune. The skeleton body in gold is encased in a red gold
lattice-work design of interlocking 8s. 8 rings circle the cap and
cone, while the clip is decorated with a diamond studded 8. Medium 18 K
red gold nib engraved with yin and yang symbol. |

Description:
This magnificent piece is dedicated to Georges Pompidou who was the prime minister and then the President
of the French Republic. He always supported the idea of having a public
space for art, music, literature, and cultural expression. The Pompidou
center took place in 1977 as an homage of his founder. The fragmented
geometric form of this skeleton pen's overlaid white gold lattice
echoes the architecture of the center. The pen is decorated with
several rings of small diamonds, while the clip finishes in a brilliant
sapphire. The 18 K gold rhodium plated nib is engraved with an
image of Pompidou.

of diamonds, while the cap bears a large teardrop faceted sapphire and

engraved with words "America's Signatures for Freedom".
